Pastor Fletcher Interviewed on Good Citizen Podcast

Pastor Fletcher, of Living Word Baptist Church, was interviewed last week on the Good Citizen Podcast about the work they are doing to alleviate homelessness and the effects of the housing crisis on our community.  In partnership with Englewood Community Development Corp. and Community Health Network, Living Word built Providence Place, a 15-unit apartment community for individuals exiting homelessness and others who earn up to 80% of the area’s median income.  The Church owns several other properties throughout the Otterbein Neighborhood, which they rent to low-income residents.

Pastor Fletcher graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and completed his Doctorate of Christian Education from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Kansas City, MO.  He is a former high school teacher. It is with great sorrow…

…that we announce our Sergeant at Arms, Randy Polvadore, passed away on April 18th, 2024. Randy lived his whole life in the Otterbein Neighborhood and was a long-time member of the Association. He enjoyed helping with community clean-ups and stuffing Easter Eggs for the annual egg-hunt at the Otterbein Church. He was always glad to share helpful information with the rest of the community as one of its most dedicated advocates. He was a good friend to many. He will be sorely missed.
